MANNING INTRODUCED SHERIFF TOMMY GAGE (Sheriff Montgomery Co.)
Introduced the speaker “DAVID JEFF WELLS - FBI” Officer Wells program was on the 911
Terrorist Day and what happened thereafter. The rest of the program was
question and answer with a few slides.
Amendment One to the Galveston minutes was,
The
appointment of HCSO Officer Paul Brown, Sworn and Carroll Bagley, the
Non-Sworn representatives for Region One for the State Board, having
been elected in that meeting.
Amendment Two = The decision not to have a
meeting
in the month of December was left out of the minutes for August.
Richard Melvin made a motion not to have a December meeting and was
seconded by Tony Dabney - motion passed. All voted not to have the
meeting in Dec.

EVALYN PHILLIPS REPORT ON THE KEY CHAINS, PINS, AND THE
PATCHES FIXED UP AS A PACKAGE. SALES ARE GOING ALONG FINE.CONVENTION 2011 <>
HAD MEETING AFTER THE REGULAR
MEETING. WENT WELL. David also asked for Vest orders Black for workers,
Khaki for attendees. If you are interested, get your orders in. At the
meeting on the 2011 convention, the items of interested were discussed.
One of those was the speaker for the banquet and the suggestion from
Carroll Bagley was Congressman Ted Poe. Carroll also asked about
entertainment (Southern Breeze Band) it was agreed for Him to get more
information on both and bring it back to the next meeting. Mr. Bagley
said we need an official letter of invitation and date to present to
Ted Poe, no action was taken on the letter. A few other items were
mentioned such as the Bus tour for $10.00 around the city of Galveston.
Several things were mentioned but it is a fact that we will find out
more of the schedule at the next meeting. A meeting after the next
regular meeting is not sure but We probably will have one so schedule
most of the day for the Region One meeting. Bring all the ideas you
have and line up as many sponsors as your Alumni can.STATE BOARD MEETING is Saturday October 23rd.
At
10am
in Buffalo, TX. Regions One, Two, Three, and Four have reps.
Regions 5,and 6 are coming along. PLEASE bring folding chair to the
meeting because the count of chairs there is less than 20. Also room is
limited so bring a small chair. Thanks a bunch. PLEASE be there, all
are needed.

Charles Billingsley asked for all to print
clearly
on the sign-in sheet. He wants to wait until the meeting starts to
start the sign-in sheet through the attendees. Instead of having the
sheet ready when you arrive. WHAT DO YOU THINK???
Nominations were discussed President,
Carroll
Bagley appointed Jeanne Canales and Evalyn Phillips as the nominating
committee. We will need a new Secretary. Because of Mildred’s health
she will not serve another year. Leo Waltz-Webster, Director Position
agreed to stay in office. Dottie Duby -Angleton agreed to be nominated
for the Secretary position. We are not sure if Delores Gant is going to
continue as Treasurer.

next two months and after her election to Secretary she will the
permanent minute taker. She will give everyone Her e-mail address at
